FINAL Week OF THE SEASON
As those of us that have been through a high school soccer season have previously experienced, the season has come and gone in a flash. Three our of our four teams are scheduled to play twice during this final week, hoping to end on Ws to improve their overall records (below).
- Varsity, 5-10
- JV1, 8-4
- JV2-Red, 6-4-2
- JV2-Black, 6-4-3
Week 6 Results
Congratulations to the Varsity team who was able the end a losing streak, and finish the week with a couple of much needed wins heading into the first round of playoffs.

Following a tough regular season, the Lions find themselves in one of the four, 4A Substate brackets with 5 teams (basically a play-in game with the winner facing the No. 1 seed).
On a more positive note, as the higher (#4) seed, the Lions will host a playoff game, facing Davenport Central on May 19.
End of the season banquet
Mark your calendars for the End of the Season Awards (Dessert) Banquet on Sunday, May 31 at 6pm (LMHS Cafeteria/Main Gym). All players and all teams and immediate family are encouraged to attend to recognize and celebrate our players this season.
- Families are asked to bring a dessert to share with others
- Players on teams that are no longer competing should bring their laundered uniform
