post-season bracket & matchups
Following a tough regular season, the Lions find themselves in one of the four, 4A Substate brackets with 5 teams (basically a play-in game with the winner facing the No. 1 seed).
The Lions travel to Dubuque Senior on Wednesday, May 27 to face the top-seeded Rams in the Substate Semi-Final.
The winner will play two days later on May 29th for the chance to qualify for the 2026 State Tournament.
End of the season banquet
Mark your calendars for the End of the Season Awards (Dessert) Banquet on Sunday, May 31 at 6pm (LMHS Cafeteria/Main Gym). All players and all teams and immediate family are encouraged to attend to recognize and celebrate our players this season.
- Families are asked to bring a dessert to share with others
- Players on teams that are no longer competing should bring their laundered uniform
and just like that, the season's over
Congratulations to all of our teams, players, and coaches on another successful campaign. While many only measure a team's success by wins and losses (and ties), we choose to look at the entire season and all of the dots that mark growth, from mid-March through the end of May.... and our players made some great strides at all levels, both from last year to this year, and during this season, alone.
