As a coach you never really know what to expect for the second game of a double header. Will your players be fit enough to finish strong during the second game? Will the other team be as tiered, if they had an early game? So it was a little up in the air as to how this game would turn out, both from being the second game of the day and not knowing much about the F/S team from Waterloo West. But right from the start it looked like the Lions F/S was ready to go despite having an earlier game. It was also quickly determined that the Lions were the better team as the ball stayed in the opponents end of the field for almost the entire first half. Waterloo did happen to make it onto our half at least once, and made the lions pay by scoring the games first goal. The rest of the half was a bit rocky as the lions started to get desperate, even with an entire half still to play, and stopped passing. This created little opportunity and for the team since they really stopped looking like one and instead looked like 11 individuals not knowing what to do for the last 10-15 minutes of the first half. After Waterloo West's goalie shut down the Lions attack in the first half and being down a goal, the players needed to be calmed down and reassured that we were indeed the better team. The team licked their wound, picked their heads up and started the second half just as they started the game. It wasn't long before the Lions
