Gail force winds played a major role in the flow of the game. The lions got stuck facing the wind for the first half and kept to their style of play, which almost took the wind out of the equation altogether. Even with a couple of scares in the first half the team kept its composure and maintained possession for about 25 minutes of the half, and even going into the wind Tyler Splinter from a Connor Johnson through ball put the Lions on the board first. In the second half the Lions gained the aid of the wind, good or bad, and again controlled the ball for much of the half. The team started to get away from there original game plan of producing a lot of passes and started to become a bit selfish as the ball only found it's way onto our defensive half a hand full of times. They calmed down a bit and found the back of the net 3 more times. Goals in the second half were scored by Conrad Pannkuk (unassisted), Quinn Treiber assisted by Josh Storla (Josh's first game back since an injury during the indoor season), and Nick Carney assisted by David Logan. The players were excited for the 4-0 score, but during the post game talk agreed that it could have been a lot more if they would have not let the selfish demons into the game an continued to pass like in the first half. The man of the match came down to Quinn Treiber and Bryce Hochstedler as both played hard all game, it was finally awarded to Quinn as he had the best goal of the game from about 20-25 yards out.
