Lions hire JV Coach...

Coach Brinkmeyer has again tapped into his Alma Mater, Mt. Mercy College, to find the newest member of the Mens Soccer coaching staff.  We are pleased to announce Drago Ceranic, from Belgrade, Serbia, will be taking over the reigns as the Head JV Coach.  Drago is finishing up his Senior year at the Mount, as a Graphic Design major.  He brings a wealth of playing experience with him, both collegiate (He was a 4-year All-Conference player with the Mustangs) and professional, as well as referee and assistant coaching experience.

Orders have arrived...

As we near just a week from practice beginning, much of what has been ordered is arriving or has arrived.  The players that sold t-shirts for the fundraiser, should pick up their shirts and get them delivered.  In addition, much if not all of the practice gear has arrived, as well as many of the sweatshirts, bags, and other merchandise.  Some socks have arrived but will not be distributed until the first day of practice.

Money overdue for socks/meals...

To those that have not paid, please make sure you get a check in immediately for socks and meals.  If you don't want a meal provided for all away games ($75), that's fine, but all players will need the team socks ($30).

Please make checks payable to Linn-Mar Soccer.

Follow Linn-Mar Mens Soccer on Twitter...

In hopes to keep you parents and players more informed and as a way to save our school district money by not sending out snail mail, we will now be using Twitter to send messages as well as email.  We've found that many of our students no longer check emails regularly to get "urgent" messages to them and despite our best efforts, don't have all parents' emails.  So I discovered that we can send short messages that, if you enable it, will send them to your cell phone as a text message (standard text message rates apply).  Directions on how to set up your own Twitter account can be found by clicking on this link.  If you really have no interest in using Twitter, but want to receive these announcements, please know that after setting up your account, you never have to go online to Twitter again!!

Unlike most Twitter accounts used for socializing and catching up, this will be used for messaging.  During the off-season messages will be few and far between, but as the season gets closer and going, they may be more frequent, but probably not daily so as not to ramp up messaging charges for those of you that may not have an unlimited plan.

We ask that if you have a question about something to get in direct contact with Coach Brinkmeyer via email or phone.
