Head Varsity Coach--Corey Brinkmeyer joined the Lions in the spring of 2000, as an assistant coach and teacher. The following year he took over the reigns in an attempt to turn around the program and reestablish it's success in mens soccer. The Lions experienced their first state tournament in 2004, and returned in 2005. But his most rewarding trip to state occurred in 2008 after finishing the regular season with just four wins.Brinkmeyer is a 1998 graduate of Mount Mercy College, where he played soccer for the Mustangs and received his degree in Secondary Education. He currently teaches in the High School Business Ed. Department. Corey and his wife, Amy (LM grad, '90) reside in Cedar Rapids with their two boys, Graham and Mitchell.

Head Fresh-Soph Coach--Kevin Schmidt joined the staff in 2005. Kevin is originally from Minnesota, and also a Mount Mercy graduate, and employed by Berthel Fisher & Co. Kevin and his wife, Heidi, reside in Center Point, and have two daughters, Ellie & Kaitlyn. |

Head JV Coach--Tim Lovell joined the staff in 2012; he is also a member of the Linn-Mar Varsity Football coaching staff. Recently, Tim graduated with his Master's in Education, and is currently transitioning into a teaching career. He has coached soccer at the youth level for several years, and is looking forward to bringing his passion for working with student-athletes to the Linn-Mar soccer program. Tim resides in Marion, with his wife, Kathy (both 1997 graduates of Cornell College), and three children: Macey, Max, and McKenzie . |

Volunteer Coach--Sam Anderson joined the staff in 2012. He is employed full-time with the Target Corporation, and based out of the Edgewood Road store. Sam was a player for the Lions from 2004-2007, and is a University of Iowa graduate. Sam also coached with the Linn-Mar Football program in the Fall. |
